The journal provides an annual international forum for the study of the works of Wilhelm Dilthey, areas of inquiry associated with his thought (i.e., philosophy and the human sciences), and relevant historical figures (i.e., his predecessors, contemporaries, and interpreters). Each issue will have one section devoted to a special topic concerning some aspect of the thought of Wilhelm Dilthey and a second section open to relevant contributions. Volume 1/2008: Dilthey, Kant and Neo-kantianism - Table of Contents - Deadline September 1, 2008 Call for papers 2008 - Volume 1: Dilthey, Kant, and Neo-Kantianism The first issue of the new journal DIY , an annual international forum for the study of the works of Wilhelm Dilthey published by frommann-holzboog, will appear in late 2008. The journal will publish articles and reviews related to all aspects of Dilthey's thought, its influence, and issues associated with it. The journal seeks to provide a platform for international Dilthey research and, more broadly, all research engaged in evaluating and renovating the methods of intellectual and cultural history, the history of philosophy, and the human sciences. Each issue will have an initial section devoted to one special topic concerning the interpretation of Dilthey's works and a second section open to all relevant contributions. The special topic of the first issue will be Dilthey, Kant, and Neo-Kantianism. The deadline for all contributions is September 1, 2008. Papers should be no longer than 9,000 words and formatted according to University of Chicago style guidelines.
